This concept is not just about selling books.
It’s about positioning you as a recognized expert.
The 101 PR Publishing concept is similar to my colleagues Mark Victor Hanson and Jack Canfield’s format in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series: a collection of tips on a particular topic by a group of esteemed contributors. While the content remains the same in all the books, participants are given the option of featuring themselves as the main contributing author, turning the book into their book, with photos on the front and back covers and their name and store name featured on the cover and title page.
Position yourself as the Go-To Expert
When you join a 101 project, you position yourself as the published, local expert for your business — a position that comes with great power and influence in the minds of your customers. Here is an opportunity to turn your years of experience into increased sales — capitalize on the media exposure that book reviews, release parties, signings and interviews will generate. Positive word of mouth is the lifeblood of any business.
The books are approximately 200 pages and are 5 ½” x 8 ½”, trade paperback.
The suggested retail price is $19.95.
Personalize it with the Custom Cover and Marketing Package
Your books will be personalized with your pictures on the cover and your name on the cover and title page as the featured author. The back cover will have either pictures of your store or employees. Your three tips will be credited to you on each page where they appear and include your name, your store name, city/state, and web address.
Royalties = Earn Money While You Sleep
You receive a link to place on your website so customers can order your book directly and you don’t have to do any of the work. It will link to our order processing department and you will receive $5.00 for every book that is sold from your site. (On a personal note: Rick only receives $1.04 for any of his Dummies books that are sold.) That’s passive income. How often do you get an opportunity to sell a product online that you don’t have to inventory and that adds credibility to your business?
Pay the package price, write three tips to be published in the book and receive your books. It’s as simple as that. We have professional editors who will polish your writing — it’s the substance that counts, not grammar.
